Instant Kundli Matching — Both Charts, Read Against Each Other
Not a guna score and a verdict. Both charts read against each other — the 36 points, the South Indian ten, the doshas on both sides, and what actually happens when one person's grahas land in the other person's houses.
- Ashtakoot and Dashakoot both — 36 points and the South Indian ten
- Manglik checked in both charts, with cancellations
- Five life domains matched house by house
What Kundli Matching Actually Decides
Most people meet kundli matching as a number. Twenty-eight out of thirty-six, somebody says, and the family relaxes — or eighteen, and the proposal quietly dies. That number is real and it matters, but treating it as the whole answer is like judging a marriage by one exam mark.
The thirty-six points measure what the Moon of one chart does against the Moon of the other: temperament, instinct, the rhythm two people will keep. It says nothing about whether the marriage brings money trouble, whether children come easily, whether one person's chart steadies the other's health. Those live elsewhere, and a matching that stops at the guna score never looks.
What Arrives In The PDF
- Both charts, in full. D1 and D9 for each person, with every graha's sign, house, degree, nakshatra and dignity — and Vargottama marked, where a sign repeats across both charts.
- Ashtakoot Milan — the 36 points. All eight kutas scored one by one: Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot, Nadi — each with what both charts carry and why the score is what it is.
- Dashakoot Milan — the South Indian ten. The same eight plus Rajju, Vedha, Mahendra and Sthree Deergha, the four the southern tradition adds. Two traditions, two scores, both shown.
- Manglik dosha, on both sides. Checked in each chart separately, with severity and the cancellations that apply — including the one that matters most, whether the dosha in one is answered by the dosha in the other.
- Paap Samyam. The malefic load on each side weighed against the other, because an even balance matters more than a low one.
- Dasha Sandhi. Whether either person is crossing between two mahadashas around the marriage — the transition the texts warn about, and one almost nobody checks.
- Bhava matching, five domains. Temperament, money, children, health, career — each read by seeing whose grahas fall in whose houses, and what that adds or takes away.
- A combined verdict out of ten, with every section scored underneath it, so you can see which part carried the number and which part pulled it down.
Ashtakoot And Dashakoot — Why Both
North India counts eight kutas out of thirty-six. The South counts ten, adding Rajju, Vedha, Mahendra and Sthree Deergha — and weighs some of the shared ones differently. The same pair of charts can score comfortably in one system and awkwardly in the other, which is not a contradiction; the two traditions are asking slightly different questions.
This report runs both and shows both. Where they agree, you have a firm answer. Where they differ, the difference is itself information — and you can see which kuta caused it rather than being handed one number and asked to trust it.
Where The Real Answer Usually Lives
Guna milan is a screen, not a verdict. Two charts can score thirty and still make a difficult marriage if the doshas sit badly; two can score eighteen and do perfectly well once the cancellations are counted. The sections after the score are where the reading earns its keep.
Manglik dosha is checked in both charts, not one, and the classical cancellations are applied rather than mentioned — including the oldest rule of all, that a dosha on one side answered by a dosha on the other cancels. Paap Samyam weighs the malefic load across the two charts, because a heavy load matched by a heavy load is easier than a light one facing a heavy. And Dasha Sandhi asks whether either person is between two mahadashas as the marriage approaches — a transition the texts treat seriously and almost nobody checks.
Five Domains, Matched House By House
- Temperament. How two natures actually meet day to day.
- Finance and wealth. What each chart brings to the other's second and eleventh houses.
- Children and progeny. The fifth house of each, read against the other's grahas.
- Health and vitality. Whether one chart steadies the other or strains it.
- Career and profession. What marriage adds to each person's tenth house — and, just as often, what it does not.
This is the part guna milan cannot reach. It comes from overlaying one chart on the other and reading where the grahas land.
Any Pairing, And You Choose Who Is Who
The matching takes two charts. Which two is up to you — the rules being applied are rules about charts, and they work the same whoever the charts belong to. You name both people when you order, and the report refers to them by name throughout.
What You Need To Order Kundli Matching
Both birth dates, both birth times, and both places. Nothing else.
Birth time carries more weight here than in any other reading, because it is needed twice: the Navamsa of each chart turns on it, and so does every house overlay in the matching section. If one time is uncertain, the guna score still holds — it rests on the Moon, which moves slowly — but treat the house-by-house part as indicative. Our free kundli matching will give you the guna score first, if you want to see where a proposal stands before paying for the full reading.
Common Questions
How many gunas are enough?
The usual rule of thumb is eighteen out of thirty-six to proceed, and above twenty-four is considered good. But the number alone decides nothing — a high score with an unbalanced Manglik dosha is a worse position than a modest score with the dosha cancelled on both sides. That is why the report scores every section separately and then gives one combined verdict.
Is this the same as the free kundli matching?
No. The free tool gives you the Ashtakoot score and a dosha check — enough to see where a proposal stands. This adds the South Indian Dashakoot, Paap Samyam, Dasha Sandhi, both Navamsa charts, and the house-by-house matching across five life domains, with a scored verdict at the end. Twenty-eight pages against one screen.
We are both Manglik. Does that cancel out?
Classically, yes — a dosha on one side answered by a dosha on the other is the oldest cancellation in the texts, and the report checks for exactly that. It also checks the other cancellations: Mars in its own or a friendly sign, the dosha not repeating from the Moon, and the weakening that comes with age. What is left after all of them is what you are told.
Does it work for any two people?
Yes. The rules being applied are rules about charts. You name both people when you order and the report uses those names throughout — no assumption is made about who is who.
Is this written by an astrologer?
No, and we would rather say so than let you find out. It is built by our own system from the classical rules — Parashari, Lahiri ayanamsa, Ashtakoot and Dashakoot as the texts give them — applied to both charts. Thorough, and yours alone, but nobody sat down with it. If that is what you want, the personalized matching is read and prepared by Jyotish Acharya Pramod Sharma himself and takes a few working days.
How quickly does it arrive?
Usually within ten minutes of payment, emailed as a PDF. You do not have to wait on any page while it is prepared — close the tab and it will reach you. The same file stays in My Reports for ninety days, which matters here: matching reports get shown to family.
