How An Instant Astrology Report Is Prepared
Everything in Jyotish begins with one moment: the day, the hour and the
minute you were born, and the place the sky was overhead. From those the
lagna is fixed, and from the lagna everything else follows — which grahas
sit in which bhava, which of them own the houses that matter to the
question you are asking, and which nakshatra the Moon was passing through
when you drew your first breath. That last one decides the dasha you were
born into, and therefore the whole shape of the years ahead.
An instant report does that arithmetic to the second, using the Lahiri
ayanamsa and the Vimshottari system most Indian astrologers work with. It
then reads the chart the way the classical texts ask it to be read: the
bhava first, then its lord, then where that lord has gone and what it
keeps company with, then the dasha and antardasha that will bring the
matter forward. Nothing is drawn from a bank of ready-made paragraphs —
the reading follows your chart, and a different chart produces a different
report.
Instant Or Written By Hand — Which One Do You Need?
An instant report is the right thing when the question is broad and you
want the ground under it: what your chart is built for, which years carry
weight, where the difficulty sits and what the remedies traditionally
are. It arrives in minutes and costs a fraction of a written reading.
When the question is narrow and personal — a proposal in front of you, a
job you are about to leave, a medical worry with a date attached — a
reading written by an astrologer is worth the wait. He sees things a rule
cannot: the weight of one affliction against another, the dosha that is
cancelled in your chart and not in the book, the answer that needs to be
given carefully. Those are on the
written reports page,
and they take five to seven working days.
What Arrives, And When
A full PDF, emailed to you, usually within ten minutes of payment. The
same file waits in
My Reports
for ninety days, so it is there when you look for it again in March. You
do not have to sit on any page while it is built — close the tab and it
will reach you anyway.
Common Questions
What if my birth time is not exact?
Then say so, and read the report for what it can still tell you. The
houses move roughly one sign every two hours, so an hour either way can
shift the lagna and with it the whole house structure. The grahas' signs
and nakshatras hold steady, and so does the dasha sequence — but for
anything that turns on a house, an uncertain birth time is worth saying
out loud. Birth time rectification is a separate piece of work, and one
that has to be done by hand.
Is this the same as a free online kundli?
A free kundli gives you the chart: the positions, the divisional charts,
the dasha table. It stops where the reading begins. This is the reading —
what those positions mean together, in the order a Jyotishi takes them,
for the part of life the report covers. Our
free kundli
is there if the chart itself is all you want.
Do I need my partner's chart?
Only for the matching report, which reads two charts against each other
and cannot be cast from one. Every other report on this page is built
from a single chart.
Can I ask a question about the report afterwards?
Yes — that is what
Ask A Question
is for. Pick the questions you want taken further and an astrologer
answers them from the same chart, in writing, within 24 to 48 hours.
