TERMS OF SERVICE
THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND ASTROMITRA
1. ABOUT THESE TERMS
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website www.astromitra.com and the Astromitra mobile applications (together, the "Services"), operated by StarsAPI Technolabs LLP, K-5/132, Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi 110059, India.
By creating an account or using the Services, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Services.
2. WHO MAY USE ASTROMITRA
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
- You must provide accurate registration details and keep them current.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account. Keep your password confidential and tell us at once if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One person may hold one account. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.
Where you enter a child's birth details to obtain a child or newborn horoscope, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian and that the account remains yours.
3. WHAT ASTROMITRA IS — AND IS NOT
Astrology is provided for guidance and entertainment. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and must never be used in place of one.
- Do not delay or avoid seeing a doctor, taking prescribed medication, or seeking emergency care because of anything said on Astromitra.
- Do not make investment, legal, immigration or business decisions solely on the basis of an astrological reading.
- No astrologer, report or remedy on Astromitra guarantees any outcome. Predictions are interpretations, not certainties.
- Astromitra does not offer black magic, vashikaran, tantra-mantra to control another person, or any service claiming to harm, bind or manipulate anyone. We do not permit astrologers to offer such services on our platform.
4. HUMAN AND AI ASTROLOGERS
Astromitra offers consultations with both human astrologers and AI astrologers.
- AI astrologers are automated assistants. They are clearly labelled in the app so you always know who you are speaking with.
- AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. Treat it as guidance, not as verified fact.
- Human astrologers are independent practitioners who provide consultations through our platform. They are responsible for the advice they give. We verify their stated credentials to a reasonable standard, but we do not adopt or endorse the content of any individual reading.
- Astrologers may not solicit you outside the platform, ask for personal contact details, request payment outside Astromitra, or pressure you into buying remedies. Please report any such behaviour to us immediately.
5. PAYMENTS, CREDITS AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
- Prices are shown before you pay and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
- Digital purchases made inside the mobile app are billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store under their terms. Website purchases, store orders and puja bookings are billed by our payment gateway.
- Voice and chat consultations are charged by the minute at the rate displayed before the session starts. Billing begins when the session connects.
- MitraPro renews automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation applies from the next billing cycle.
- Consultation credits have no cash value and are not transferable.
- We may change prices from time to time. Changes never apply to a purchase you have already made, and subscription price changes will be notified to you before they take effect.
Refunds, cancellations and returns are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy. Delivery is governed by our Shipping and Delivery Policy.
6. ACCURACY OF YOUR BIRTH DETAILS
Every calculation on Astromitra depends on your date, time and place of birth. A difference of a few minutes can change your ascendant, dasha and predictions entirely.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you enter. Readings or reports based on incorrect details are not a service failure and are not refundable on that ground, although we will usually help you correct and reissue them where the mistake is reported promptly.
7. ACCEPTABLE USE
When using the Services, you agree not to:
- abuse, threaten, harass or discriminate against an astrologer or a member of our team;
- use the Services for anything unlawful, or to seek advice on committing a crime or harming another person;
- impersonate anyone, or submit another person's birth details without their knowledge where you have no proper reason to do so;
- copy, scrape, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute our charts, calculations, reports or content;
- attempt to access our systems without authorisation, or interfere with the operation of the Services;
- use automated tools to access the Services except through our published API under a valid agreement;
- abuse free trials, promotional credits or referral schemes.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms. Where we do so for a serious breach, unused credits may be forfeited.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on the Services — including software, calculation engines, charts, written interpretations, reports, designs, graphics and the name and logo Astromitra — belongs to StarsAPI Technolabs LLP or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
Reports and readings you purchase are licensed to you for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may keep and print them. You may not resell, republish, or distribute them, or present them as your own work.
Astromitra is a trademark of StarsAPI Technolabs LLP, in use since 2007. Unauthorised use of the mark or of any confusingly similar mark is prohibited.
9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The Services rely on third parties for payments, communications, hosting, AI processing and delivery. Their availability is outside our control, and interruptions caused by them are not a breach of these Terms. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
10. AVAILABILITY
We aim to keep the Services running continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may suspend access for maintenance, upgrades or security, and will give notice where reasonably possible. Astrologer availability, including the languages spoken, varies by astrologer and by time of day.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- the Services are provided on an "as is" basis, without warranty that any prediction, remedy or outcome will prove correct;
- we are not liable for any decision you take, or fail to take, on the basis of astrological guidance received through the Services;
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, opportunity or reputation;
- our total liability in connection with the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded under the law that applies to you.
12. CLOSING YOUR ACCOUNT
You may close your account at any time from the app — tap Profile in the bottom navigation bar, scroll down to Settings, then Delete Account — or at www.astromitra.com/account-delete.php. Closure is subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy. Any active subscription must be cancelled separately with the store that bills it.
13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email before they take effect, and the date above will be updated. Continued use after that date means you accept the revised Terms.
14. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at New Delhi. This does not remove any protection available to you as a consumer under the mandatory law of the country in which you live.
