Career Path Finder — The Work You Are Actually Built For
Your chart read against the framework career counsellors have used for sixty years. Out of it comes a three-letter type, seven professions named and ranked, the ones that will drain you, and three things to try in the next fortnight.
- Your Holland code — and the chart behind each letter
- Seven professions, named and ranked
- The fields to avoid, and why they will drain you
Two Ways Of Answering The Same Question
Ask a career counsellor what you should do with your life and they will hand you a questionnaire. Ask a Jyotishi and he will ask for your birth details. Both are trying to find the same thing — the shape of the person in front of them — and they have almost never been put in the same room.
This report puts them there. Your chart is read the way it always is, and the same person is placed on the RIASEC scale — the six-type framework psychologist John Holland built in 1959, which career counsellors and the US Labor Department's own O*NET database still run on. Where the two agree, the answer is firm. Where they pull differently, that tension is usually the most useful thing in the file.
Your Holland Code — Three Letters, With The Chart Behind Them
RIASEC sorts working people into six types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional. Almost nobody is one of them. Your top three, in order, make a three-letter code — and that order matters more than the letters, because it says which instinct leads and which two support it.
What this report does that an ordinary aptitude test cannot: it says why. Each letter is traced back to what is actually in your chart — which graha is your Atmakaraka, what sits in the tenth, which planet is exalted and where. You get the type and the reasoning, not a label from a quiz.
What Arrives In The PDF
- Your career DNA. The energy you bring to any work at all — what pulls you in, what tires you out — written before a single job is named.
- Your three-letter Holland code, with each letter traced to the placement that produced it.
- All six RIASEC scores. Not just the top three — the whole profile, so you can see how far ahead the leader really is.
- Seven professions, named and ranked. Strongest fit first, down to the stretch options, each with the chart signature it rests on. Actual roles, not categories.
- Careers to avoid. The fields that will drain you and why — often worth more than the list above it.
- The environment that suits you. Team size, pace, how much noise, how much autonomy. The right work in the wrong room still burns people out.
- Three things to do in the next fortnight. Small, specific, testable — and written for your age, so a school student and a thirty-five-year-old get different homework.
Who This Is For
Three kinds of reader, mostly. A student choosing a stream or a degree, where the wrong turn costs years. Somebody already working who suspects they are in the wrong room and wants a second opinion that is not from their own head. And parents, who order this for a child more often than for themselves — which is why the report adjusts what it asks you to do next according to age.
What This Report Does Not Do
- No timing. It will not say which year to switch jobs or when a promotion is due.
- No Dasamsa. The divisional chart for livelihood is not drawn here.
- No dasha forecast. Nothing period by period.
All three are in the instant career report, which answers when. This one answers what — and they are genuinely different questions.
Guidance, Not Destiny
A chart shows a tendency and a psychometric scale shows a preference. Neither issues an order. Effort, training, luck and the state of the job market all do their own work, and a report that pretended otherwise would be lying to you.
What this one is good for is narrowing. Most people are not short of options; they are short of a reason to rule some out. Seven roles worth exploring and two kinds of work to stop considering is a decent fortnight's clarity for the price of a dinner.
What You Need To Order The Career Path Finder
Your date of birth, your time of birth, and the place. Nothing to fill in, no questionnaire to sit — the RIASEC profile is derived from the chart rather than from your answers, which is the whole point of doing it this way.
If your birth time is uncertain, this reading holds up better than most: the karakas and the graha dignities that drive the scoring do not shift as fast as the houses do. Our free kundli will show you the chart first, if you would like to see it before paying.
Common Questions
What is a Holland code?
A three-letter summary of how somebody prefers to work, from six types — Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, Conventional. It has been the standard tool in career counselling since 1959 and sits underneath the US Labor Department's O*NET database. Your top three in order make the code; the order is the interesting part.
How is this different from the career report?
This one answers what: which work suits you, which to avoid, what kind of room to do it in. The career report answers when: it draws the Dasamsa, reads the 10th with the houses around it, gives a job-or-business verdict, and breaks the dasha down three levels with dates. Many people take this one first and the other when a decision is actually in front of them.
Is it suitable for a school or college student?
It is one of the main reasons people order it. The report reads the age and writes its closing steps to match — a fifteen-year-old gets something to try at school or the library, not advice about switching jobs.
Does it name real jobs or just broad fields?
Real roles, seven of them, ranked from strongest fit to stretch — and each one says which part of your chart and which RIASEC score put it on the list. What it will not do is promise you any of them.
Is this written by an astrologer?
No, and we would rather say so than let you find out. It is built by our own system, applying the classical rules and the RIASEC framework to your chart. Thorough, and yours alone, but nobody sat down with it. If you want an astrologer's own judgement on a career question, the personalized career report is prepared by Jyotish Acharya Pramod Sharma himself.
How quickly does it arrive?
Usually within ten minutes of payment, emailed as a PDF. You do not have to wait on any page while it is prepared — close the tab and it will reach you. The same file stays in My Reports for ninety days.
